November 4, 2015

CEF had another successful event this year at the Half Moon Bay Art & Pumpkin Festival! We raised over $13,000 selling raffle tickets and printing over 700 photos with the first prize pumpkin. Thanks to Alifano Technologies for all of their technical expertise, hard work and generosity. Thanks also to the Silicon Valley Community Foundation, Peninsula Open Space Trust and Coastside Chamber of Commerce.

Even though we had some rain, people still lined up to help support CEF.

This event could not have been possible without support from our board members and volunteers. Thank you to all who came and worked long shifts to help out: Michael Ahern, Gary Ballard, Cynthia Carasco , Judith Carrillo, Lauren Casentini, Gayle Ciardi, Valerie Dubois, Emily DuFore, Suzanne DuFore, Terri DuFore, Betsy Gallagher, Ashwini Gillen, Athena Kalabolas, Rick Kowalczyk, Graciela Krabbenschmidt, Vicki Laffen, Bettina Lunasin, Leila Lurie, Paul Owens, Rob Pappalardo, Amy Risk, Gizette Sperinde, Savannah Stambaugh, Scott Stambaugh, Skylar Stambaugh, Amy Sullivan, Jessie Hedger Walter, Jenny Walter, Jim Ward, and Jennifer Zhang.

A big thank you also to Christine & Lenny Mendonca and John Ediger & Eileen O’Brien for their generous donations for our raffle prizes. The Mendoncas donated luxury accommodations at Seascape Resort in Monterey Bay. John and Eileen donated 2 tickets to a Warriors game, Club Level with VIP parking. Congratulations to our raffle prize winners Ann Hollingsworth and Norma Anderson!

We are looking forward to next year’s festival and to raising even more money for our schools and our students!
